GAME VILLAGE, DELHI
With each passing day, Commonwealth Games 2010 is coming closer. The government of India is fully focused on preparing for this mega event, to be organized in the capital Delhi. The work for the most-talked about Games Village is going great. It is being developed along the eastern bank of the River Yammu and off the National Highway 24, adjacent to the Akshardham Temple.

It has been learnt of that Delhi Development Authority (DDA), an agency of the Government of Delhi and a delivery partner for Commonwealth Games, 2010 is making quality effort for the Games Village development. It spreads over an area of 63.5 hectare and has 1, 168 air-conditioned flats, which are well-furnished to accommodate 8, 000 athletes and team officials. The entire area also has 14 blocks and 34 towers. Apartment types ranging from 2-5 bedroom units, each with suite are additional facilities, provided for participates.

GAME VILLAGE TRAINING CENTER
Besides, the Games Village area will comprise of the Training Areas for the following sports:

Athletics- 400 m eight-lane synthetic track and separate area for Throwing events

Swimming- 50x25m, kids and leisure pool

Weightlifting and Wrestling

Buildings with International Zone, Village Operation, Support Areas and Fitness room are also on the process.

NEARBY ATTRACTION
Game Village for Common Wealth 2010 is planned in such away that tourist find easy access to the major attractions in the city. It is located, almost at the heart of Delhi and is nearby to landmarks like Humayun Tomb, Bahai Temple(Lotus Temple) and Swami Narayan Akshardam Temple, the largest Hindu Temple Complex in the world.

Game Village is designed in a way that it make guests feel the traditional Indian hospitality underlined with the standards of luxury and comfort. The work has already been started in August 2007 and its expected to get complete by March 2010.
