Day 01 :
Departure from your home country.
Day 02 :
Arrive Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Full day city tour visiting Qutub Minar,
India Gate (War Memorial), Laxmi Narayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple;
drive past President House and Secretariat buildings. Afternoon sightseeing
of Old Delhi visiting Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.
Visit the cremation sites of Jawaharlal Nehru (Shanti Vana) and Mahatma
Gandhi (Rajghat)
Day 03 :
Drive to Jaipur. Check in at hotel.
Day 04 :
Morning tour to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the state until 1728 AD.
Visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of Victory and Temple of Kali. Return to the
city passing by Jal Mahal. Afternoon visit the Maharaja's City Palace
(Museum) , Jantar Mantar (the observatory), Albert Hall Museum , Ram Niwas
Gardens; drive past Hawa Mahal (The Palace of winds) & through the pink
rose residential/business areas of Jaipur.
Day 05 :
Drive to Agra, enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569
AD. Visit the graceful buildings within this City including Salim Chisti's
Tomb, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal and other palaces. The city was later
abandoned due to scarcity of water.
Day 06 :
Morning half day tour of the city visiting Taj Mahal built by the Mughal
Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 AD for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her
mortal remains, Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daula - built by Empress
Noor Jehan in memory of her father. Check out at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer
to Tundla rail-station for night train to Mughalsarai (Varanasi).
Day 07 :
Morning arrive Mughal Sarai (Varanasi) and transfer to hotel. Rest of the
day is at leisure. Or, optional tour to Sarnath where Lord Buddha gave his
first sermons.
Day
08 :
Early morning boat excursion on the holy river Ganges to see the bathing
ghats & the cremation sites. Watching people bathing & worshipping
at the ghats is one of the most extraordinary experiences of a visit to
India. Check-out at 1200 hrs. Rest of the day is at leisure. Evening tranfer
to Railway Station to board a night train to Bhubaneshwar.
Day 09 :
Morning arrive to Bhubaneshwar and transfer to hotel.
Day 10 :
Drive to Puri via Konark . Check-in at hotel.
Day 11 :
Free time in Puri.
Day 12 :
Morning free. Check-out at 1200 hrs. Evening tranfer to Railway Station for
Calcutta night Train.
Day 13 :
Morning arrive Howrah (Calcutta) and transfer to hotel .
Day 14 :
Morning transfer to airport for return flight.
